Serendip has been among the first production companies in Pakistan to perceive
the vast potential for social change- using the medium of documentary video.
We specialise in producing development-oriented films that raise vital issues
in education, human rights, health, gender, and environment. Our films are used
by many development organisations for awareness- raising and advocacy.
We have documented the workings of some of Pakistan's largest urban and rural
support programmes in the remotest corners of the country- by delving into the
lives of the people we film.
Serendip is in the process of launching Pakistan's first public service television
channel, exploring new vehicles of change. But most of all, our driving vision
is one of sustaining that change. The goal we work towards is producing a new
generation of filmmakers and television producers who are not afraid to question,
and to create a niche for documentaries on Pakistan made by Pakistani filmmakers.
