Serendip
is the story of a vision.
Five years ago, a team of award winning UK-based filmmakers set out to rediscover
a country. Travelling by a curious combination of bus, camel, helicopter, and
boat, the team spent almost a year journeying across Pakistan, uncovering stories,
and its landscapes. The result of their journey was the Pakistan Zindabad television
series, celebrating fifty years of a country, and opening up a world that Pakistanis
themselves had forgotten, ever existed.
But this has been only the beginning of that early vision. Today, Serendip has
established itself as a leading production company in Islamabad, producing work
of international broadcast quality, and exploring bold issues through the medium
of documentary and television.
Headed by Huma Mustafa Beg and Dr. Farooq Beg, an international award-winning
producer-director team with many years' experience of working both in South Asia
and in the West, today Serendip is a name associated with quality and change.
